Overview

Axis Bank has formulated a revised Export and Import Policy (AEXIM) in line with the Foreign Exchange Management (Export and Import of Goods and Services) Regulations, 2026 [FEMA 23(R)]. The policy provides a comprehensive framework for processing export and import transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and enhanced customer service. 3. The Bank follows guidelines as prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India from time to time under FEMA, 1999 and other applicable guidelines of RBI including KYC, AML as applicable.

4. The Bank also adheres to the sanctions guidelines of RBI, UN, US-OFAC, EU and UK as applicable as per its sanctions policy updated from time to time.

5. Any processing of transactions will be solely at the discretion of the Bank and subject to adherence to, but not limited to the guidelines mentioned in points 3 and 4 of the above disclaimers as well as subject to internal approvals and any RBI approvals as applicable. 

6. The Bank also has a policy for follow-up of export and import transactions under the EDPMS and IDPMS mechanism of RBI. Processing of transactions is also subject to the Bank’s EDPMS and IDPMS follow-up policy.

7. The Bank may also report doubtful cases as determined by it, to the Department of Enforcement, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. 

8. Published TATs are subject to the submission of documents in line with FEMA requirements and Bank's internal requirements, as well as adherence to the Bank's transaction processing cut-off times.
