Axis Bank offers loans under the 'Poultry Power' programme to meet the financial needs of farmers engaged in poultry farming. The loans cover:
- Financing working capital (overdraft) and term loan requirements of the poultry units.
- Reimbursement of cost of construction of unencumbered poultry shed and other fixed assets.

- Minimum: ₹2 lakhs
- Maximum: ₹5 cr
Eligibility
- Individual/proprietorship firm/partnership firm and companies
- Age criteria in case of individuals: 18-75 years (co-borrower is needed if age > 60 years)
Vintage requirement
- Layers farms: Minimum 3 years
- Broiler farms: Minimum 2 years
Primary security
- Overdraft: Nil
- Term loan: Hypothecation of all assets created out of Bank’s finance
Collateral
- Facilities up to ₹10 lakhs can be secured fully with agricultural property
- Facilities above ₹10 lakhs to be fully secured with non-agricultural collateral
Eligibility
- Individual/proprietorship firm/partnership firm and companies
- Age criteria in case of individuals: 18-75 years (co-borrower is needed if age > 60 years)
- Minimum flock size in broiler farm to be 2000 birds per cycle
- Minimum batch size in layer farm to be 10,000 birds
Other Important Details
Lending rates
For loans on REPO rate
- Rate of interest will be linked to Prevailing Repo Rate.
- Customer rate/ pricing (ROI) shall be repo rate + spread.
- Repo rate reset frequency- every 25th day of last month of each quarter.
- The bank will publish the Repo Rate periodically on the bank's website.
For loans on base rate/MCLR/fixed rate
- Existing loan on base rate/ MCLR/ fixed rate will continue to be at existing benchmark till renewal.
