Prohibition of Rebates - Section 41 of the Insurance Act, 1938 as amended by Insurance Laws (Amendment) Act, 2015
No person shall allow or offer to allow, either directly or indirectly, as an inducement to any person to take out or renew or continue an insurance in respect of any kind of risk relating to lives or property in India, any rebate of the whole or part of the commission payable or any rebate of the premium shown on the policy, nor shall any person be taking out or renewing or continuing a policy accept any rebate, except such rebate as may be allowed in accordance with the published prospectuses or tables of the insurer. • Any person making default in complying with the provisions of this section shall be liable for a penalty which may extend to ten lakh rupees.
Grievance Redressal Procedure
As per Regulation 17 of IRDA of India (Protection of Policy holders Interests) Regulation, 2017.

The basic insurance covers offered are as under:
No claim bonus is a special discount given for every claim-free year. As per the schedule of tariff, NCB can be earned in the Own Damage section of Policies covering all classes of vehicles but not on Two Wheeler Trade Policies (Road Transit Risks / Road Risks / Internal Risks) and policies that cover only Fire and/or Theft Risks.
Incidents such as "Third Party Property Damage", "Bodily Injury To Self or Third Party" or "Theft" should be reported to the nearest police station, under whose jurisdiction the incident has occurred.
A comprehensive Two wheleer policy covers transportation risk by rail, road, and inland waterways.
It is strongly recommended to renew your insurance before expiry of the existing insurance.
If, the policy has already expired, a fresh insurance can be obtained. Since a break in insurance has occurred, the vehicle will be physically inspected by Tata AIG or their authorised representative/agency. The entitlement of No Claim Bonus will be as per rules.
If your vehicle has or you are installing CNG/LPG kit in your vehicle or if there is any other change in the structure/usage of the vehicle, it should be permitted by the RTO-means, it should be registered with the RTO and also entered by them in your RC. You will then have to declare to Tata AIG about the changes with a copy of the RC. Additional premium is payable for the vehicle with LPG/CNG kit and Tata AIG will pass an endorsement for the same..
Please register a claim immediately. An immediate report to the police is also mandatory in case of vehicle is stolen or when third party injury/death/property damage is involved.

Fill up the proposal form yourself, answering all the questions correctly and sign it. This plays a vital role in deciding the premium and the admissibility of claim. Incomplete or incorrect information may result in denying the claim to you. Therefore, never leave it to any other person to fill it up.
Ensure that your and vehicle details are correctly recorded in the policy schedule. Make sure that every digit of vehicle registration number; engine and chassis numbers, etc. are fully and correctly entered. Any error should be immediately corrected.
Any changes in the policy can be effected by an Endorsement issued by the Insurer.
