Rural Banking Initiatives
Axis Bank embarked on a unique Rural Banking Initiative to spread its presence in the rural areas. As part of its strategy of being a complete solutions bank, Axis Bank has launched the Rural Banking Services with branches in Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Axis Bank will be opening 100 branches across India, offering Rural Banking Services, by the end of this financial year. This launch is a part of its Rural Banking Initiative of extending its footprint in Tier-III, IV and V centres with a population of around 10,000 to 50,000.

Financial Literacy Week, 4th-8th June 2018
To emphasise the importance of financial literacy, RBI has decided to observe the week June 4-8,2018 as Financial Literacy Week across the country.
