To correct a PAN Card on the UTIISL Portal, please follow the procedure below:

  • Begin by visiting the “UTIITSL official website”.
  • Find the "Change/Correction in PAN Card" option and select the "Click to Apply" button.
  • Proceed with the "Apply for Change/Correction in PAN Card Details" option to get a PAN Card correction request form.
  • Modify the “Document” as per the mode, input the PAN number, point out the type of PAN Card, and hit the button “Submit”.
  • The “reference number” will be the unique identifier retained after registration. Select the “OK” button after entering this information.
  • You may enter the required data into the form, such as “your name and residence”, and proceed by selecting the “Next Step” option.
  • Verification of your identity will be completed by re-entering your PAN number, and subsequently, the “Next Step” button will provide access to the next page of the process.
  • Attach the scanned copies of the required documents and hit the “Submit” button.
  • The correction is usually made within a time frame of “about 15 days.” After the completion of the process, the new PAN Card will be sent by courier, and a confirmation SMS will be dispatched to the registered mobile number.

How to update PAN online through the NSDL Portal

To correct a PAN Card on the NSDL Portal, please follow the step-by-step procedure below:

  • Visit the official NSDL website. Navigate to the "Services" menu and select the PAN option.
  • Locate the "Change/Correction in PAN Data" section and click on the Apply button.
  • Select the option "Changes or Correction in existing PAN Data / Reprint of PAN Card".
  • Select the suitable category and fill in the requested information, including title, full name, date of birth, email address, mobile number, citizenship status, and PAN number.
  • Enter the captcha code and click on Submit. A token number will be sent to you via email.
  • Proceed by selecting "Continue with PAN Application Form," and choosing your submission mode: paperless e-KYC & e-Sign, e-Sign with scanned documents, or submission of physical documents.
  • Enter the last four digits of your Aadhaar, correct errors as required, fill in your address details, and upload authorisation documents such as a PAN Card copy.
  • Paste your photo and provide a signature. Verify the filled form, and then submit it.
  • Complete the payment, accept the terms and conditions, and confirm your identity using the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
  • Get the acknowledgement form. Your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format will be the password to download this document.
