Average Balance refers to the average amount to be maintained in your account, over a certain period. Depending on the scheme and branch category (Metro/Urban/Semi-Urban/Rural), there are 3 types of Balances, Average Monthly Balance (AMB), Average Quarterly Balance (AQB) and half-yearly average balance.
Visit any Axis Bank branch and fill in product change form and corresponding Debit Card request form as well. This would then be processed by the bank and intimation will be sent confirming the change.

Account transactions can be tracked by opting for monthly e-statements or passbook* * Physical Statement option are available for Premium Savings Account Holders
This facility is available for existing customers who are registered on Internet Banking. The path to follow is:
Log in with your details > My Accounts > Projected Average Balance
Here, you can see the projected balance basis the monthly trend.

PAMB < last 6 digits of AC no. > - For Monthly balance

Kindly apply for segment specific Debit Card/Cheque Book to enjoy segment specific benefits & features post upgrade. Please do refer the Terms & Conditions / Schedule of Charges updated on the website.
Upon account downgrade to other schemes: customer is suggested to apply for default debit card as per their new scheme to get the most relevant offers and benefits pertaining to the account proposition. In case a customer is holding a non-default debit card post account down migration, charges will be levied on the account based on the card variant and scheme. Also, customer to apply for the segment specific cheque book.
Upon account upgrade to other schemes: All the accounts which have an existing Debit card will be upgraded & replaced with the applicable variant. In case a customer is holding a Non-default debit card post account up migration. No additional debit card fee related charges will be levied on the account based on the old card variant. Also, customer to apply for the segment specific cheque book.
For opening a Salary Account, your organization should have a Salary Account relationship with Axis Bank. If your organization has an Axis Bank Salary Account relationship, you can approach us in any of the following

Our Anywhere Banking facility allows you to continue with the same account at all Axis Bank locations*. However for transfer of an account, you would need to fill up the Transfer account form available at the branch and surrender your cheque book and debit card. You may continue to draw your salary through the Salary Savings Account even in the case of change in employment. You would need to intimate your employer about your existing Axis Bank details, so that the monthly salary credits are routed through the same account.* You would also need to intimate your Axis Bank branch for the required change in records with the Bank.

W.e.f 1st July'17, Interest earned on savings bank account will be credited on the last business day of each quarter of the financial year.
W.e.f 8th Aug'17,*Earn up to 4% p.a. interest on savings account balance of ₹50 lakhs and above. Earn 3.5% p.a. interest on savings account balance less than ₹50 lakhs
In that case your existing Domestic Salary Savings Bank Account would get converted into a Non - Resident Ordinary account wherein you can continue receiving Local credits from all sources including your salary. You can have a joint account in this case with a local resident as per the bank's policy on joint account holders.
Further, in case you draw your Salary Overseas as well, and are eligible as per FEMA guidelines for a NRE account Axis Bank would offer you a Non Resident External account wherein you can remit your monthly salary in local currency. This would be fully repatriable and Tax free.
