Don’t fall prey to a Credit Card scam!

Don’t be duped by scams offering to settle your total outstanding Credit Card dues for a fraction of the amount owed.
These fraudsters are using stolen funds, and you could be perceived as the perpetrator or accomplice by Law Enforcement as you are the ultimate beneficiary and recipient of the fraudulent funds.
How can you protect yourself?
- Never click on any unsolicited link in these messages or download any third-party application without verifying the source
- Be wary of any unsolicited offer to use your card to receive a payment.
- Do not fall prey to scams asking you to pay them money in return for paying your outstanding bills.
- Always make payment against your credit card and other bills directly through an authorized / secured channel.
- If anything sounds too good to be true, take a pause and think before you respond or react.
Reporting mechanism –
- Report any financial or cyber related crimes immediately to Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)
– National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal via their toll-free helpline number ‘1930’ or website
– https://cybercrime.gov.in/ through www.axisbank.com - Block your Credit/Debit cards immediately, in case of a fraud. SMS BLOCKCARD to 56161600 or +918691000002.
