How do I enable/disable the use of Cookies?

Cookies are supported by most web browsers. But there are a number of different ways in which you can accept or reject some or all cookies. Some of the main methods to disable/enable the use of cookies are described below.

You are welcome to block the use of some or all the cookies we use on our website. However, please be aware that doing so may impair our website and its functionality or may even render some or all of it unusable.

Please note that disabling cookies will make it impossible to set new cookies. However, it does not prevent previously set cookies from continuing to work on your device until you have cleared all cookies in your browser settings.

You should also be aware that clearing all cookies from your browser will also delete any cookies that are storing your preferences, for example, whether you have accepted cookies on a website or any cookies that are blocking other cookies.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences through the Cookie Preference Centre

You can manage your cookie preferences through the Cookie Preference Centre available on the Axis Bank website. The Cookie Preference Centre allows you to review the categories of cookies used on the website and choose whether to enable or disable certain non-essential cookies.

You may toggle your preferences for Marketing Cookies, Analytics Cookies and Functional Cookies, based on your choices. Necessary Cookies are required for the website to function securely and effectively and therefore cannot be disabled through the Cookie Preference Centre.

The Cookie Preference Centre also allows you to expand each cookie category to view further details, including the names of cookies used under that category. These details should be read along with Annexure A – List of Cookies, which provides the cookie type/category, cookie name, purpose and expiration period.

You may update or change your cookie preferences at any time through the Cookie Preference Centre available on the Axis Bank website. Please note that disabling certain categories of cookies may impact your browsing experience, website functionality, personalized content or service offerings made available to you.

Changing your browser settings

You can accept or reject some or all cookies (for example, blocking all third-party cookies) by adjusting your browser settings. If you do not know how to do this, the links below set out information about how to change your browser settings for some of the most commonly used web browsers.

Some browsers, such as Chrome and Firefox, allow you to change your settings to browse in ‘incognito’ mode, limiting the amount of data placed on your machine and automatically deleting any persistent cookies placed on your device when you finish your browsing session. There are also many third-party applications which you can add to your browser to block or manage cookies.

Clearing existing cookies

To clear cookies that have previously been placed on your browser, you should select the option to clear your browsing history and ensure that the option to delete or clear cookies is included when you do so.

Axis Bank will regularly review this Cookie Policy and Annexure A – List of Cookies to ensure they remain accurate, current and aligned with the cookies used on the Axis Bank website. Updates will be made as required to reflect changes in website functionality, technology, service providers, legal or regulatory requirements, or the cookie banner.
