1. Visit the GST portal
Go to the official GST portal by typing in your web browser. This is the official platform for all GST-related services in India.

Once entered correctly, click the ‘Login’ button to access your GST dashboard.
3. Navigate to ‘User Services’
After logging in, go to the ‘Services’ tab in the top menu. Under this, click ‘User Services’ and select ‘View/Download certificates’ from the dropdown menu.
4. Select the GST certificate
On the next page, you will see a list of available certificates. Look for the one labelled ‘GST REG-06’, which is your GST Registration certificate. Click on it to open the certificate details.
5. Download the GST certificate
Once the certificate is displayed, you will see a ‘Download’ button. Click on it to save a PDF copy of your GST certificate to your device.
The GST registration certificate is issued as part of the GST registration process, which is governed by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) manages the GST portal and facilitates the issuance of certificates on behalf of CBIC.

However, for casual taxable persons and non-resident taxable persons, the certificate is issued for a limited period, typically 90 days, or as specified at registration. To continue operations, they must apply for renewal before expiry by submitting Form GST REG-11. If a taxpayer fails to renew, their GST certificate may be automatically suspended or cancelled, leading to penalties and restrictions on business activities. In such cases, re-registration is required to resume operations legally.
