Neeraj Gambhir

Neeraj Gambhir is the Executive Director at Axis Bank. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry with expertise in Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Capital Markets, Structured Finance, Derivatives, Risk Management, and Investment Banking.

Previously, he was the Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income for Nomura Holdings Inc., India, where he set up and expanded their Fixed Income franchise in the country. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director of Lehman Brothers India and a Senior General Manager and Global Head of Structured Finance & Balance Sheet Management at ICICI Bank.

He played a key role in establishing the Clearing Corporation of India and served as a Nominee Director on its Board. He was also the Vice Chairman of the task force constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, to establish a Public Debt Management Office. Additionally, he has participated in India-Japan discussions on financial cooperation. He is a member of the Governance Committee of Corporate Debt Market Development Fund.

He is a Director on the Board of Axis Asset Management Company Limited, Axis Pension Fund Management Limited, IND-FX Code Participants Association, Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association of India and Axis UK Limited.

Neeraj Gambhir holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and is a Postgraduate in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, where he was awarded the PGP Chairman's Medal.
