Kedar Joshi

Kedar Joshi is the Group Head - Internal Audit at Axis Bank and joined the Bank in June 2025. He brings over three decades of global experience in internal audit, assurance, risk management, and governance across leading financial institutions. His expertise spans audit strategy, regulatory compliance, operational risk, and financial services, with a strong track record of building high-performing audit functions and strengthening organizational governance frameworks.

Before joining Axis Bank, Mr. Joshi spent more than 18 years with Bank of America across India and Hong Kong. As APAC Head of Corporate Audit, he was responsible for overseeing audit coverage across 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, spanning Global Banking and Markets, Technology, Operations, and key corporate functions. His remit also included Global Business Services, the Bank’s offshore operations supporting over 28,000 employees, as well as strategic technology partners and vendors. As a member of the Corporate Audit Senior Leadership Team and the APAC Regional Executive Committee, he played a pivotal role in shaping audit strategy, governance practices, and risk oversight across the region. He led a diverse team of approximately 140 audit professionals across nine APAC countries, driving a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Prior to joining Bank of America, he held assurance, audit, and consulting roles with Scotiabank in Toronto, Canada, and KPMG in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Mumbai, India. These experiences provided him with a strong foundation in financial services, external audit, risk management, and advisory services across multiple international markets.

Mr. Joshi is a dual-qualified Chartered Accountant in India and Canada and a CFA Charter holder.
