Yes, you will receive the TDS Certificate for the period from 1st March ’23 till the migration date on your registered email ID. In case you need a duplicate certificate, reach out to our phone banking team or simply walk-in to any of our branches. Post the transition, you can view these certificates through Internet Banking as well using the following path.
While we will try and retain your existing relationship manager where possible, should there be a change in the same, we will communicate the change to you well in advance.
Yes, upon migration to Axis Bank you will be able to access all the past data of your Citibank Savings Account through Axis Bank Internet Banking and Mobile Banking App, open.
Yes, you will be assigned a new Customer ID on your transition to Axis Bank. Common customer will not see a change in Customer ID.
Yes, as part of Family Banking Program, the household balances will be considered in the TRV (total relationship value) calculation where applicable.
You can apply for a cheque book through Axis Bank Internet Banking and Mobile Banking App, open. You can contact your Relationship Manager or your branch (if assigned). No, you do not need to close any account as Citibank accounts shall be migrated onto Axis Bank systems post the migration and merged under a common customer ID. For a BSBDA account, one account will have to be closed by you as per regulatory guidelines.
No, there will be no impact of this migration on Axis Bank branches. Your base branch will continue to remain the same.
Post receipt of your new Axis Bank cheque book please do start using the same favoring Axis Bank account number or Axis Bank Fixed Deposit number and deposit at an Axis Bank branch. Please do not prefix Citibank with the account number or Deposit number while writing the cheque to avoid any bounce / return.
Once you leave India, your account needs to be converted to NRO account and funds must be repatriated abroad as per the guidelines for NRO accounts. For further details, you may also connect with your Relationship Manager or any nearest branch.

Multi-Deposits need to be delinked to close the deposit. You can submit a delinking request at the nearest Axis Bank branch. Once the multi-deposits are de-linked, the deposits can be closed.
No, Multi-Deposits are sweep in deposits which are linked to Savings Account and any fund requirement greater than the balances held in Savings Account, the deposit will break to address the requirement.

Yes, you can close your jointly held Fixed Deposit or Recurring Deposit through Mobile Banking App, open or Internet Banking. FD/RD with mode of operation as either survivor, single or LOA or POA (65) are allowed for closure. The closure request can be raised by the primary holder of the account and the closure request should be approved by secondary Holder of the Account. The closure request can be raised and approved from either of the channels i.e., IB or MB.
If your deposit is less than 6 months and in interest payout / compounding schemes, the deposit will be automatically renewed with the minimum tenure of 6 months on the maturity date. In case, you do not wish to renew your deposit with the minimum tenure of 6 months, you can set your deposit on auto closure on maturity for payout of proceeds on deposit.
No change for accounts with digital statements. Customers falling under Liberty and Prestige segments are advised to update their email IDs to receive the statement digitally. Paper statements will be discontinued.
There will be no change in the process of making inward foreign transfers post the migration. Your remitters (people who are sending you funds in foreign currency) would need to approach their overseas bank to initiate a wire transfer in foreign currency. While initiating an international fund transfer to your account, the remitter should use the SWIFT code of Axis Bank i.e., AXISINBB.
We would request you to start using Axis Bank's designated NOSTRO account for all your inward foreign remittances. Please make sure that the same is initiated with the SWIFT code of Axis Bank i.e., AXISINBB.

No, you do not have to open a new security Fixed Deposit. Standing instructions will be marked on your account and rent will be collected on an annual basis.
